Well done 4EL for all your hard work in the run up to Christmas!

World Hello Day!
Today is our World Hello Day!
We would love to hear from our international visitors to the blog!
We are also thinking about ways that people say hello around the world. Write a comment if you know how to say hello in another language!

The terrible storm
Today in class 4EL there was a terrible storm! Our visitor, Joseph Banks, told us what it was like to sail through a storm at sea. Then we had a go at recreating the storm in class!!
Science Morning Meeting
We are thinking about....
Why do we have day and night?
Our ideas-
Because the clouds are blocking the sun. Aiden.
When we go round the sun, each planet gets a bit of sun. Connor
The reason we can see the moon at night is because the sun goes behind the moon. Andrea
Because the sun needs a rest. Teigan
Because if we didn't have night and day, we wouldn't be able to tell what time it is. Jamie
When we have our sun, on the other side of the earth has night and its dark. When the sun moves round, they get the night and we get the sun. Sephora

4EL's Making a Difference Day
4EL have been helping nature because it was making a difference day!
Yesterday 4EL was helping nature by making mini-beast hotels also painting bird boxes and making bird feeders. One group made some fantastic boxes for the bugs because the children tried to help the wildlife. 4EL used bamboo sticks and plant pots to build a bugs hotel. Another group used the wood from the garden to make bird boxes and repair the bird table so the animals can eat and drink. The final group made a food bottle for the birds to eat when they are hungry because in the winter they won't find any food.
"It was really good!" said Abi Croft in year 4.
