Diary date -Rand Farm parents' meeting

Just in case anyone didn't get the letter home about the Rand Farm meeting, the meeting will be held on Thursday 14 March at 15:30 in the school's Main Hall. This is an opportunity for you to meet Rand Farm staff, ask any questions you have about the trip and find out more about the accommodation and itinerary.

We have been reading The Butterfly Lion by Michael Morpurgo.

It touches hearts and you learn from it. You will learn what you can do for a beloved friend or an animal.

Georgia

It's sad but happy at the same time. The lion dies but the man comes rushing in with an idea for everyone to remember when the lion was alive. I gives you a rainbow of feelings!

Rosie

So far it's quite emotional, especially when he lost the lion. We all thought he'd never come back......

Fillipa

In the first place, the book is very happy. Later on, when the lion is taken to the circus it gets sad for Bertie and the lion.

Maryam

This is my favourite book and I find it very happy yet very sad at the same time.

Samba drumming

Today we had a fantastic (and noisy!) time in our samba drumming lesson.
We learnt about different kinds of notes and used different instruments to create an incredible samba rhythm!

Our visit to the Collection

Today we have been to the Collection to look at the plesiosaur fossil.

I liked the fossil because it is fabulous. I learnt that it had 100 little teeth.

Chloe

Something bigger than the plesiosaur had bitten a chunk out of him!

Katie

The plesiosaur lived 180 million years ago.

Tyler

I learnt that plesiosaurs air so it would have to come up to the surface to get air.

Jacob

I learnt that dinosaurs could be any colour as noone knows it for sure. It could even be multicoloured!
