This week 4EL has been learning all about forces during science week. We finished off the week with a discovery afternoon. Thank you to all the visitors who made the afternoon so special and shared our learning with us!

  1. Well done 4EL. It looks like you had an exciting afternoon! I really liked your jelly experiment, what did you find out?

  2. We experimented frictions of different materials by making toy cars go down a ramp and measured how far they went.

  3. Yesterday, 4el had a science afternoon, where parents came in to see what we had been doing. On each table there were different experiments happening. One of the tables had lots of force meters and weights. We used the different force meters to carry different weights. On another table we had a jelly and chopsticks challenge, where we had to transfer jelly from one bowl to another. Outside we had a ramp experiment, where we changed the surfaces of the ramp and saw which surface made the car go the furthest. By Maryam.

  6. Yesterday we had a science afternoon, which was extremely fantastic. The jelly was fun because we used chopsticks to pick up into another bowl which was green and blue

  7. Yesterday 4el had a since fair with jelly and chopsticks . We had to transfer jelly from one bowl to anther using chopsticks some of the jelly had oil in it. Next we had to doa ramp test with rubber , cardboard
, plastic and concrete. We also used force meter to show mums and dads how much force you need to lift a 1kg weight . We all had to work independently on the laptop which was very fun.
