Our weekly reflection

Jacob:
I've enjoyed doing balance problems and I would love to do some more of these.

Tyler:
I've enjoyed learning the spelling rules for plurals. If there's a y at the end of a noun, like puppy, you take the y away and add ies.

Kyle:
I will try next week not to get angry or frustrated. I will try hard to keep my anger inside my body.

Maryam:
I learnt how to do division on a number line. It was good as I used adding skills to help me. We have been using chunking which means you don't have to do each step separately.

Caitlin:
I really enjoyed maths because I learnt more about grid method for multiplying. I especially enjoyed today because we were using the app explain everything.

Amber:
I enjoyed doing my super sentence and I liked doing instructions. I learnt that you put 'You' because you're being bossy.

Chloe:
I really enjoyed this week, I loved the new methods we've done in maths and I loved writing instructions. Also, I'm really enjoying our farm to fork topic and growing Cool plants and making them into a veggie pizza.

Savannah:
This week we have been doing a science experiment about what plants need to grow.

Caitlin:
I have learned that plants need to be watered properly.

Oakley:
only keep plants damp, don't water them too much.

Lewis:
If you give plants too much water, they can die.

Chelsey:
We are investigating if plants need soil. We have had some shoots appear in the soil but not in the cotton wool.

Our thoughts on reciprocity

We are becoming masters of teamwork. Here are our tips for working with others:

1) you've got to be able to reach agreements. You can't just do your own thing.
2) share your ideas
3) try to ignore it if people want to distract you, you can always move somewhere else
4) make sure you choose people you know you can work with
5) everyone can do a part, make sure each person has a job to do
6) four hands are better than two - if you're on your own, you won't get things done as quickly
7) if you get into a disagreement, you can compromise. This means mixing your ideas together!
8) if you get cross, just walk away and take a time out. Make sure you're calm when you go back to your group.

Savannah's poem

Spring

One tweeting bird was spotted to day flapped its wings and flew away .
Blossom budding on the cold , hard rocky floor .
Children are playing up and down while parents are relaxing for now.
Farmers are growing vegetables and milking cows and enjoying the great outdoors.
So its time for you and me to have some fun as well .

Katie's farm poem

Farms have many wonderful colours ,
brown horses , black horses , white horses ,
sheep white and fluffy like a cotton bud ,
pink but plump pigs ,
lovely flowers with many kinds of colours pink purple yellow
also the emerald green grass tickling my feet .
All your colours shine upon me like one thousand rainbows a minute .

Spring poems

We used our first week back at school to notice all the changes that Spring brings!

We have been using all our description skills to make our writing really interesting!
